Do you frequently style web applications Gmail, Facebook or Google Calendar? Maybe you've already imagined how good it would if you had these web applications on your desktop, or whatever it is, you have no need to open your favorite web browser.

How useful can this be? Matters of taste I guess. The story is that I met (long, but I was encouraged to write about it until you try) an excellent application that does this, which is called PrismBy Mozilla.

Once you have installed Prism in our system, we will open and ask us the URL (Web address) of a web application you want. Mind you, not necessarily a web application, it could be any page you want.

The story is that you have a shortcut to where you want and run it from your desktop without opening your browser. That is what Prism does for you.
